ATR – Avions de Transport Regional

France, Toulouse-based regional aircraft manufacturer ATR is the world leader in the 50 to 74-seat turboprop market,offering reliable and easy to maintain aircraft with unbeatable economics to airlines operating on the regional transport market. ATR is an equal partnership between Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica group) and EADS. Alenia Aeronautica's manufacturing facilities in Pomigliano, near Naples ( Italy ), produce the aircraft fuselage and tail sections. Aircraft wings are assembled at EADS Sogerma Services in Bordeaux for Airbus France. Final assembly, flight-testing, certification and deliveries are under the responsibility of ATR.

In order to enhance its presence in the Pacific area and to be closer to its existing and future customers, ATR opened in 2006 a Sales Office in Sydney . Headed by Laurent Negre, ATR sales director for the region, this office covers Australia , New Zealand and the South Pacific Nation Islands . ATR thus reinforced its strong presence in Asia Pacific, its second market in importance, and where Sales Offices in Beijing , Singapore and Bangkok already existed .

In terms of operation, ATR is already well established in the South Pacific area with more than 30 aircraft currently operated in New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Australia since 2007.

ATR has sold over 950 aircraft worldwide so far. ATR portfolio is now composed some 130 operators in more than 70 countries. EADS. ATR is certified ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001:2000 and EN/AS/JISQ 9100, the worldwide quality standard in the field of aeronautics.
